International Children's Digital Library
The International Children's Digital Library (ICDL) is a five-year project funded by the National Science Foundation (NSF) and the Institute for Museum and Library Services (IMLS) to create a digital library of international children's books.

The classics of literature (poetry & prose), nonfiction, and reference free online.

of thousands of classic books free at 4Literature.net. The 4Literature archives include thousands of classic books, such as the works of Shakespeare, religious and historical documents, children's fairy tales, Greek and Roman classics, and books by famous American authors of the 19th century.

Classic Reader
"All books published on the Classic Reader website are out-of-copyright, meaning their copyright protection has expired.

Online Medieval & Classical Library
The Online Medieval and Classical Library (OMACL) is a collection of some of the most important literary works of Classical and Medieval civilization hosted at the Berkeley Digital Library SUNSite.
